Prof. Shivappa is presently working as Senior Lecturer at Kousali Institute of Management Studies (KIMS), Karnatak University, Dharwad. He obtained B.Com. and M.B.A. Degree from Mangalore University, Mangalore with first class. After his post graduation, he worked as guest faculty in the Dept. of Business Administration, Mangalore University, Mangalore and in the Dept. of Business Administration, Kuvempu University, P.G. Centre, Davangere to teach MBA students for two years. He has actively participated and attended many Faculty Development Programmes/Workshops/Seminars including the Executive Education Programme conducted by Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He had presented and published a few papers in different workshops and also reviewed a book titled, “Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management” of Tata McGraw-Hill Publishing Company Ltd., New Delhi. At KIMS, he teaches subjects like Management Accounting, Financial Management, Business Law, Merchant Banking and Financial Services, Project Management, International Financial Management, etc. He is currently undertaking doctoral research on “Management of Finance in Universities – A Case Study of Karnatak University, Dharwad”.
